Dallas is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Dallas follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

An absolute masterclass in pastry. If you think you’ve had a great doughnut, throw out your expectations because La Rue completely redefines the game. This isn't just breakfast; it's a high-end pastry experience born from fine-dining chefs Amy and Casey La Rue.The secret is in the craft. Their brioche dough is slowly fermented, leading to an incredibly soft, pillow-like interior with an amazing depth of flavor. Frying them in beef tallow gives the exterior the most perfect, shatteringly crisp crust without a hint of greasiness. The hand-turned crullers are mandatory—airy, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth perfection. It’s easily one of the best doughnut experiences in the entire country. Go early, wait in the line, and buy a half-dozen you’ll regret getting just one!

Finally got a chance to try La Rue Donuts, and I can see why people have been talking about this place. What makes them different is that their donuts are made with beef tallow, which gives them a unique flavor and texture compared to your typical donut spots. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would give this place around a 9/10. Food & Drinks: - Lemon Poppyseed Donut (8/10): This was surprisingly good. You could taste a little bit of the beef tallow flavor, which was different at first, but it actually worked really well. The donut itself was delicious and had a nice balance of flavor. This was probably my favorite, from what I tried. - Beef Kolache (9/10): The sausage was flavorful, and the dough was soft and well-made. Definitely something I would get again. - Cookie Butter Brioche (7/10): This one was all over TikTok, so I had high expectations. The texture was amazing, super soft and fluffy, but flavor-wise, it didn’t blow me away. It wasn’t bad at all, just not as memorable as I expected. - Snickerdoodle Coffee (10/10): Easily the standout drink for me. The flavor was perfect, and it paired really well with the donuts. Definitely recommend trying this one. - Crème Brûl

I lover everything about this place! The area is nice. The store was clean. The doughnuts are so unique and absolutely delicious. The coffee is amazing and to top it all off the staff is wonderful. I had visited twice while in Dallas and brought some doughnuts home for my family who love them. I had asked the young lady to make me a coffee that she recommended and got a snicker doodle coffee with oatmeal. The coffee was so delicious! This place should be a must on everyone's list when visiting Dallas!

I’m always on the hunt for a great donut, and I am a bit of a donut snob. I came on a Saturday late morning around 11:30 and it was packed. Had to wait outside, which seemed like the norm. The donuts were pleasantly displayed and all looked so appetizing. I chose an assortment of traditional and seasonal options. Banana coffee, pistachio guava, pineapple passion fruit cruller, traditional vanilla brioche, cornbread cake, and oatmeal cream pie. All of them scratched the itch for bougie donut. The brioche is light and fluffy. Not greasy. Well flavored without being overly so. The oatmeal cream pie was not my fav though. The filling was too loose and not sweet enough. The cookie was also too thick and spiced. But for some they might like those flavor profiles. Just not for us. I also got the dirty banana chia and it was a perfect pairing with the donuts. Although I think a simple latte would also go wonderfully. I will definitely be back.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since they opened. I got the vanilla crueller and vanilla brioche. The texture of the donuts is great, but I thought both had a bit of an aftertaste I didn’t quite love. Maybe the beef tallow? It is odd to walk into a donut shop that smells like meat. The flavor options are good. I had planned on ordering another flavor, but the counter person didn’t really have an opinion.. It is a bit disorganized and the service was less than stellar. The person I was with wanted to walk out. So, as much as I wanted to love it, I didn’t.
